The devil wants to get you trapped in a cycle of sin / shame / powerlessness / sideline you.
Many, many Christians lose their confidence. Godfidence
So we are going to talk about overcoming sin.
We are also going to attack a demonic doctrine of grace that produces more sin in Christians’s lives (God loves me and forgives me)
2 Tim 2:1 NIV You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
We will talk about the Grace that empowers your life!
THE PROBLEM OF SIN CONSCIOUSNESS
– The more you focus on NOT sinning, the more you sin. You try to overcome sin with the Law, but the law is the very thing that powers sin. You end up doing what you do not want to do.
– We must overcome sin with the grace power of the risen Christ life given to us in the new birth.
– In this new birth Jesus says.
1 John 3:9 NKJV
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God

Psalm 119:9-16 NLT
9 How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word.
10 I have tried hard to find you—
don’t let me wander from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
12 I praise you, O LORD;
teach me your decrees.
13 I have recited aloud
all the regulations you have given us.
14 I have rejoiced in your laws
as much as in riches.
15I will study your commandments
and reflect on your ways.
16I will delight in your decrees
and not forget your word.
Eph 4:29
New Living Translation
Don’t use foul or abusive language.
Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
Hebrews 4:12 (New International Version): “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Eph 4 ESV
17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.
18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!
21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,
22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
